Message from the Chairman

Haz Al-Din

Abstract

In this Message from the Chairman, Haz Al-Din reflects on the unprecedented pressures and opportunities confronting the American Communist Party as it experiences accelerated recruitment, growing international recognition, and deeper involvement in the labor movement. He argues that the Party’s current momentum is the qualitative outcome of years of patient, disciplined, and mundane organizational work– an illustration of the dialectical transformation of quantity into quality. In contrast to the volatility and episodic activism of left-liberal organizations, Haz Al-Din emphasizes that durable political power emerges from collective discipline, steady effort, and consistent practice. He maintains that successful recruitment does not depend on dramatic appeals or sensational promises, but on demonstrating the Party’s viability as a stable, coherent, and meaningful form of everyday social existence amid shifting national conditions. Ultimately, the message reiterates that long-term strength derives not from momentary enthusiasm but from persistent commitment, strategic patience, and the cumulative work of Party cadres.
