Message from the Chairman
Haz Al-Din
Abstract
In this address, Haz Al-Din, Executive Chairman of the American Communist Party, situates the contemporary geopolitical moment — marked by escalating U.S. aggression toward Iran and a deepening crisis of imperial hegemony — within the framework of Marxism–Leninism. The piece calls for a principled anti-imperialist stance rooted in Lenin’s teachings on the relationship between imperialist war and domestic class struggle, arguing that U.S. Communists must expose and oppose their own regime’s aggression by linking international liberation movements to the struggles of the American working class. Al-Din warns against opportunistic and liberal-left trends, such as electoral reformism embodied by figures like Zohran Mamdani, which he identifies as mechanisms for co-opting revolutionary energy into the maintenance of U.S. imperial power. In contrast, he upholds collective organization and disciplined Marxist-Leninist praxis as the only viable path for confronting imperialism at home and abroad. The message reaffirms the necessity of ideological clarity, mass education, and international solidarity to resist both militarism and its liberal justifications.
